This painting shows the artist with his grandparents, which he saw some years ago in Warsaw. He remembered a feeling during painting this work, when he was in Poland. The artist recognized himself captured in an own world. He grew up in Germany and was unable to speak Polish with his hosts, which made him more uncomfortable.
